GISMO launches breakfast seminar series with ‘Smart Surfaces and Coatings’

GISMO’s first breakfast webinar on Friday 27th November was a resounding success. Around 40 people attended the webinar on ‘Smart Surfaces and Coatings’ with Dr Alex Robson, including academics from a range of institutions, large and small organisations worldwide, and SMEs in Cheshire and Warrington.

The event was the first in a series of seminars from researchers working in the fields of Additive Manufacturing, Chemicals and Hydrogen, and Surfaces and Coatings, about advances in materials science and how they can benefit businesses.

The webinar covered a range of topics relating to surfaces and coatings, including plasma polymerisation, anti-microbial and anti-viral coatings, sensors, and more.

A Q&A session followed the event, which included a range of technical questions about the applications of coatings to various surfaces from attendees.

If you missed this webinar, you can watch it here, and if you have any questions about how we can help you with surfaces and coatings, or about GISMO in general, please get in touch.

The GISMO project is part-funded by ERDF and is free to eligible companies.
